A typical Week:

Monday:  We start with drop off at 8:30 (THIS IS ONLY FOR MONDAY- the rest of the week drop-off will start at 8:45).  Students are dropped off and will head into the gym.

  • Once students are inside we will start to put students into teams. They are divided into older and younger groups: grades 4-7 are upper and 1-3 are lower. We will have four teams (around 40 kids per team)  These teams will will be made up with about 20 upper kids and 20 lower kids)
    • How the teams are made:  Campers are asked to get in groups of 2-3 kids that they want to be on teams with.  We then divide them up and allow family members to be together as well (so a lower kid will be with their upper siblings as well...if they want to).   No need to request your child to be on someone’s team because they get to pick their buddies.  We try our best to get friends together but also realize we have to try and make these team even.
    • Once they have been placed on a team the campers will come up with a team color and a team name for the week.  Team colors help us with our games so we know whose on whose team.  They will try to wear a shirt that matches their team color. Most of the time the team colors are grey, black, red, white, green, and blue.
    • Once students are placed into team we are able to explain rules and our points system (Students gain or lose points based on winning games, doing their homework, wearing team colors, listening to coaches, and character traits.)

- Monday is our most talkative day as far as coaches talking and not playing games.  This really sets up the week for us.

Concession stands:  At every one of our field trips and at lunch there is a concession stand.  This is optional and usually consists of box candy, cotton candy, suckers.

Star Lanes:  While at Star Lanes, the students may bowl all they want.  This is covered as part of the camp cost.  Many students decide to pay for a $5 dollar game card. This is optional but allows them to play video games unlimited for two hours.  They will also get the option to order a hot lunch.  We will hand out an order form the day before and collect their order when they get to camp.  All the meals are $5 dollars and are also optional. The money and food order are due the morning of the Star Lanes field trip. They will still have time at camp to eat a packed lunch or they can even bring it to bowling and eat it there.
